Planet 4 put up its gala dress! For consistency reasons we decided to adjust the background colours according to the P4 colour palette! Pdf icons have also been tweaked, along with a few PHP changes.

  • PLANET-1554 – add Adobe PDF icon to CSS 
    • Users will be able to see the Pdf icon whenever they are hyperlinked, like this!
Pdf icons will appear right next to the hyperlinked texts, to show users what type of resource they will be accessing
  • PLANET-1719 – On Home: the hit area of prev/next buttons on the normal carousel is too large
    • Why the carousel was taking space away from our awesome images in favour of commands? Unclear. Well, not anymore..
  • PLANET-1835 – Differentiate backend from front end translatable messages
    • To have P4 in another language (See >> Translate P4 Theme) folks must translate Commands (aka – strings) using LOCO in this same Handbook. Some commands, however, can remain in English. This is why we had to separate Back-End (Admin strings) from Front-end.

    • Background colour of the Navigation and Footer changed to #074365 and background colour of the country panel (and the button active state where it says “country selector”) to #042233

    • Another colour consistency change, comment background box turned into #E7ECF0 and inner box: #D1DCE2
  • PLANET-2263 – Change Post background colour
    • The default WordPress yellow post background got adjusted to #F9F9F9 as a last step of our colour consistency rework
  • PLANET-2274 – Remove demo page from Media library plugin
    • Last step of our P4 < > Greenpeace Media Library integration plugin.
  • PLANET-2305 – PHP warning in planet4-plugin-blocks
    • PHP was not liking so much some of our blocks. Mutual code love is back.
  • PLANET-2326 – 4 column block: change link colours
  • PLANET-2337 – Change colours of fly out menu on mobile
    • The “fly out” menu (responsive navigation menu) got also adjusted to the brand new#074365 and the rollover colour to #86eee7

    • Pdf in search results did not look so good, so we removed the document icon.
