We had some problems with editors who forgot (or just didn’t know) to rename image files, removing/converting special/latin characters, like “á”, “é”, “ç”. I noted that spaces are substituted, but maybe it will also needed for other symbols/special characters used to name files. It would be useful to avoid broken links because editors often do not have in mind issues like this.
I want to have a function or a plugin that verify and rename automatically uploaded files to substitute special characters so that I can so editors do not have to have in mind to rename files to avoid url reading incompatibilities or broken links.
